The public square is a traditionally important tool of democracy. It has historically provided a forum for citizens to come together to discuss and debate the important issues of the day. Caring this ritual forward by leveraging today's technologies, the Public Square Project will provide a home for the rigorous debate and dissemination of ideas that helped mold our country.
The initial vision is to provide our community with a place where they can be heard. Every Monday (at 12 NOON, Pacific), we will be hosting a web conference, free to everyone and available to the first 1000 people who show up to participate. We will be featuring knowledgeable individuals discussing important topics and answering questions posed to them by those gathered.
The only thing required is a connection to the internet. Anyone willing and wanting to get involved is invited to participate.
